Oklahoma-Omnidome Mega Science Center

The Omnidome Science Center of Oklahoma City was a favorite of mine as a child and was still able to amaze me as an adult. The endless supply of hands on science demos that they have, not only fueled my imagination, but kept the kids running for over 3 hours. In addition they also had the best collection of NASA artifacts that I have seen outside of a NASA compound, and a wonderful celebration of Indian culture as well.

F-1 rocket engine, five of which are used on Apollo rockets.

Fun Facts
These 5 engines burn 348,000 gallons of liquid oxygen and 215,700 gallons of Kerosene at a rate of 15 tons per second
Produces a force equal to 20,000 locomotives or 200 Aircraft Carriers
By the time the fuel is gone, the Rocket is 36 miles up and traveling 6,000 mph. Wow!!

Moon rocks

Below is a hydrogen, fuel cell of antiquity. If only our government focused NASA research power on getting these into cars years ago.
We also saw an amazing I-Max Movie on the Grand Canyon.
